I see the "MyRecovery" folder and the various ISOs and images, but I do not know how to get it to work on my broken laptop. Is there any way around this? I have copied the recovery partition to an external hard drive and can look at all the files on my second PC. My guess is that maybe in copying everything over the the new hard drive, something changed (e.g., drive letter) that has broke the link between the recovery program and the partition, making it impossible to recover. When I click "Recovery" (or whatever the name of the option is on boot), it just goes to a black screen (which is why I am reinstalling everything in the first place).

ISSUE: I am however unable to recover using the recovery partition. I would therefore like to reinstall the OS and start from scratch. PROBLEM: I am not currently able to boot into Windows (although the hard drive appears to be functioning properly).
